PRESERVE AND FOSTER AN APPRECIATION OF THE HISTORY AND HERITAGE OF CENTRAL NEW YORK
THE MANLIUS HISTORICAL SOCIETY EXISTS TO PRESERVE AND FOSTER AN APPRECIATION OF THE HISTORY AND HERITAGE OF CENTRAL NEW YORK, WITH SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON THE TOWN OF MANLIUS, NEW YORK.
The Manlius Historical Society was founded in 1976 during the time of our country's bicentennial "fever." Strong volunteer commitment made possible early growth, the collecting of many local artifacts and the development of outstanding exhibits about town history. Professional staff and continued volunteer commitment keep the society involved in the community today. Although located in the village of Manlius, the society is dedicated to serving the whole town of Manlius. We received our permanent charter from the state in 1990, and operate as a not for profit agency with a volunteer board.
